The room had an old-timey but chic look. Mike the kiosk guy was cool, though he said it was 7 steps straight down the hall and it turned out to be 41. I managed just fine.

The room’s clean and comfortable, especially for such an affordable price. First time here and I’m really impressed. Raj at the kiosk helped with check-in, and that was pretty cool.

Henry helped me a lot with my reservation and adding nights, and housekeeping was great to talk to, though I cleaned my own room. The rooms are quaint and affordable. I’d give it 10/10 and planned to come back. I stayed here for three weeks and had never paid a local deposit before, but on my return the new check-in added a surprise $100 “local deposit” on top of the $68 room cost. They didn’t mention it until check-in. The keys stopped working at 10am even though checkout is 11am. If you don’t have an extra $100 available, don’t come. I ended up paying about $93 for a $66 room. They say the deposit is refunded when you leave. My weekly rate also went from 419.24 to 524 for no reason. If that was because of this deposit arrangement, they owe me $300 in refunds. I was in room 114 for most of my stay and cleaned it myself. They charged me $150 for smoking, which I didn’t do, and I had to fight to get it back. They charged my card overnight and said the cameras caught me, though I don’t know how when my room was closed and the windows were shut. They said the front desk saw me smoking, which doesn’t make sense since it’s a kiosk and there’s never anyone on site. I spent a couple thousand staying here, and now there’s another new fee just for locals?

Henry at the front was patient and really helpful. The place is quiet, in a convenient spot within walking distance of restaurants and grocery stores, and the price was phenomenal. I’ll definitely book again.
