The room looked badly in need of renovation, and the whole place smelled of dirty carpet. Even the water had a noticeable meadow-like smell. The bed and pillows were uncomfortable, and the blanket looked like a bed skirt, despite the clean, welcoming photos in the Hilton Honors app. They even had Direct TV, which was a surprise. It was Memorial Day weekend, so peak season, and things kept going wrong. On the first night, the desk called about a noise complaint. I told them I had young children with me and that the noise was coming from people fighting and drinking in the hallway. They only asked me to keep it down. We weren't being loud, and I'd never had a hotel complain about noise from us before. The following day, there was banging from upstairs that went on for hours. I asked if we could move rooms, but the receptionist said availability was limited and the guest above us was checking out that day. I wasn't happy with that answer, but didn't confront them. On Sunday I went down for breakfast around 9 and there were no comfortable seats left. I had to wait for someone to get up before I could eat. Even the welcome at check-in didn't help: an older woman, apparently training a younger colleague, briefly explained the amenities and told me to enjoy the stay. This was the worst hotel stay I've had, and I wouldn't come back.

Citrine at the desk was great, friendly and engaging, and made us feel welcome after a long day. The staff overall were nice, and the place felt very safe. We slept well because the beds were comfortable and it was quiet. The location was good too. The building is definitely dated and shabby, with patches and repairs, though it wasn't gross. Breakfast was excellent.

The staff were pretty nice, and having stores and food across the street or within walking distance was convenient. Those were the only good parts for me. The room looked so dated and rough that I felt like I was in a Motel 6. The curtains in both the room and living room were torn, with red tape slapped over them. I've been here since Monday and haven't seen a cleaning cart on my floor in the mornings, which makes me wonder about housekeeping. Breakfast was awful. I found hair in my eggs, which were the only decent option besides bread. About half an hour before breakfast ended, the containers were empty and nobody refilled them. The same thing happened at the “Evening Social”: I could only guess there were sandwiches, since every tray was empty by 6:30. I'm a current Hilton employee and travel to many Hilton properties, mostly Embassy Suites, Home2Suites and Homewood Suites. I was here for business and my room was paid for. If I'd been paying myself, I would've checked out after the first day. This is the worst I've seen.

The staff were lovely, and the hotel was clean. Parking was free, and our room had a nice kitchen stocked with essentials, though the room itself felt dated. Breakfast was just okay, with few choices. I overheard kids asking their parents for waffles or pancakes. We also got locked out because of a key fob problem, and had to wait for a technician to arrive.

The water stayed cold for all three days, so the hot shower I wanted after the long drive never happened. The TV service also cut out whenever it rained. There was a hole in the blackout curtains, the room chair was dirty, and the lobby looked neglected. We were in town for my in-laws’ retirement celebration, and I told management about the problems. The manager apologized, but that was all he could do. This wasn't what I expected or paid for. Am I getting a refund or a courtesy stay at a future Hilton property?
