New Sea Breeze Motel

The first room smelled like urine, so they moved us. Then we went to my daughter's room and found cockroaches crawling over the pillows. Back in my room, there was a rat the size of my leg. I grabbed my car, got my daughter and her friends, and told them to get the hell out. I made the managers refund me. I don't know how this place is still in business. Do yourself a favor and don't go there.

The drive to alantic city beach was really easy, and the AC and hot water worked. We had a smoking room because that was all they had, but thankfully it didn't smell like cigarettes. Still, the room was nasty. The sheets had burn holes, the towels were ripped, there was no hand towel, the bathroom had no mat, and there was mold in the fridge. They wanted $20 for extra towels. Our room was in the building next door, not the one pictured in the listing. I didn't enjoy the stay and would never book here again.

We booked three rooms 24 hours ahead, trusting that the pictures looked reasonable and that nobody would charge $100 for a place this bad. When we arrived, the rooms reeked of cigarette smoke and had cigarette burns. I didn't see roaches or bugs, but the place seemed like a good home for them. We immediately booked rooms at garden state inn for $80 each. The rude Indian owners mocked our refund request and said they didn't give a flying duck about our bad reviews. Since we'd booked a nonrefundable stay, we had no choice but to accept it. Learn from us and stay the hell away.

This was a last minute choice for my husband and me, but it's definitely not worth $60 a night. The room was cold, and you can't adjust the heat yourself. You can hear mice running around inside the walls. I haven't seen any bugs, at least. They charge $1 for toilet paper, the staff are rude, and there's no Wi-Fi. The location is the only good thing.
