The staff were kind and kept trying to help, even with guests complaining, but the place needs more people working there. From what I saw and heard from other guests and people staying there for weeks, most of the hotel was under construction and empty, with rooms seemingly being finished as guests arrived. We paid between $120 and $257 a night, and the cleanliness was nowhere near what a hotel at that price should provide. There was no real breakfast. At first, the under-construction dining room had a grimy coffee maker and a fridge full of expired yogurt. After we complained, they cleaned the machine and put out pastries and small bottles of water. I also found two small roaches in my room. That can happen even in a five-star hotel, and the housekeeping manager, who was a nice lady, apologized and offered a room on the fourth floor. I inspected it and turned it down because it seemed just as bad, and I felt safer on the main level. The elevator was old, noisy, and took ages to open and close. They also have short and longer stays for families displaced by homelessness or a fire at $60 a night, something the website doesn't mention. The property has potential if the owner pays more attention to what guests need. More staff could help keep it clean and take better care of customers. This is based on my own stay, what I observed, and conversations with other guests and long-term tenants.

The room was clean, and check-in was quick. There wasn't a microwave in the room, but guests could use one downstairs. Housekeeping was reasonably friendly and did a decent job. The front desk staff seemed a bit indifferent, though I guess not everyone can be cheerful all the time. I was glad the pool was open, even though it was a little dirty since it's outdoors. Breakfast was below par because of covid, which I don't really blame on the hotel. The stay was decent, and I'd come back if I needed to.

We were in town to see my family and tried to save a few hundred dollars on the room. My husband got the booking in before I did. By the second night, I couldn't stand the uneasy feeling from sleeping in those tiny beds, so I reserved another hotel and cut this stay short. The front desk employees were friendly, but the building still felt sketchy. The halls and room both had a strange smell, and the room was really unclean. Housekeeping never came by while we were there, and given how the room looked, I'm not sure they would have done much anyway. We should have paid extra and stayed somewhere nicer.

We just needed somewhere inexpensive to sleep for one night, and this place worked fine for that. The beds were comfortable, and the shower was fantastic. Bring your own shampoo and conditioner, though, because what they had wasn't good. There were three of us in a double room, but only two of each item, so ask for extra towels or pack your own. It's a 21-minute drive from the boardwalk, which we already knew and didn't mind. The elevator was just okay, but it did work, haha. When you pull in, the place can look abandoned, so drive around the building toward the cars in the parking area.

We had a lot of fun on day trips to Atlantic City, Ocean City, and Cape May, and barely spent time in the room, though we slept really well there. The price and location suited us, with a Walmart and plenty of restaurants nearby, and both Atlantic City and Ocean City were a short drive away. I'd nearly cancelled after seeing the bad reviews online, but I'm glad we stayed. The room was clean, fairly nicely decorated, and spacious. It had a working air conditioner and refrigerator, and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was big and included a hair dryer. Guests could also use the pool. It met what we needed.
