For a one-night stay, it worked out pretty well, and the bed and room were comfortable and clean. The TV was large. I was only there because all the other San Diego hotels were sold out, so I was glad to find a room. The area looked a little sketchy but turned out fine. The lighting could be better, the couch wasn't very comfortable, and the parking lot felt tight with my truck. I didn't try the breakfast, but it's nice that they offer it. Judging it as the kind of two- or three-star motel Super 8 seems to be listed as, I'd give it four stars.

The rooms are immaculate and peaceful, and the morning meal is an actual breakfast. They've got all the amenities you might need, and the front desk staff are cooler than a polar bear's toenails. It's worth spending a couple extra bucks. Out of all the places in El Cajon, this is my favorite, and I've stopped looking elsewhere. Super 8 in El Cajon is my go-to, best value by far.

The furniture was clean and nice, and the room itself was clean. Check-in and getting settled were quick. My only reasons for taking off a star are the noise and people smoking on the patios.

I liked the comfortable room and king-size bed. The TV was the only annoyance: it was set to turn off after an hour, so I'd keep having to turn it back on during movies, and sometimes it got stuck on one channel.

There was plenty of parking even on weekend evenings, and the area stayed very quiet. My room was roomy and clean, though some rooms smell like cigarette smoke.
