Clarion Inn Strasburg - Lancaster

The location was great, and they have a continental breakfast. Our room was clean, though a little dated. The staff, including Areeb, seemed to really care about giving guests a good stay. We had a great time here.

We were satisfied this time. Our renovated room was freshly painted and clean, which was the main thing for us. I stopped by in January to see if changes were happening, and they were. Be sure to request a renovated room, since some rooms may still be dirty and have mold. Once the new owners update them all, it should be a historic hotel in the middle of the action, though not a resort. We’ve stayed here for years, but after last year’s dirty, unpleasant visit, we planned to stop coming. The location is hard to beat for Sight and Sounds and the Strasburg railroad, and the Holiday Inn next door costs twice as much. You get what you pay for. Ask for Mary Ann and tell her Tom sent you. The hotel sits off some quiet backroads and has a lot of charm. Under new management, they’re making some nice renovations and were very accommodating. After a long trip, Ricky at the front desk greeted us warmly and helped with what we needed.

We had to stay through a snowstorm, and I couldn’t have been happier with the place. The price was fantastic, it was incredibly clean, and everyone on staff I met was so pleasant. The new management has done a great job. Our newly renovated room was stunning, and even the rooms still waiting for renovations look beautiful. If you need a hotel in the area, this is the one I’d pick.
