Days Inn by Wyndham El Centro

Staff were nice and breakfast was decent, but I should have moved to another hotel. There's an active bathroom leak, the ceiling looks like it's falling apart, and the front desk doesn't answer in an emergency. No emergency maintenance or contact number is posted. At 23:00, people were stomping upstairs and yelling in the parking lot, with trash all around. The building conditions were absolutely horrible, and the other guests were rude, loud, and inconsiderate. I'll never stay at one of these again, anywhere.

I wasn't staying at the motel, but I wanted to thank the front desk staff member Nona. She was so kind and accommodating, and went above and beyond to help my husband and me with something urgent. Her willingness to help made a great impression, and that kind of service deserves recognition. Thank you, Nona. We really appreciate you!

The parking lot had homeless camps all around it, and I'll never stay at one of these again. I had accidentally reserved a smoking room, but they switched me to non-smoking at check-in, which I appreciated since I had my baby with me. That was the end of the good part. The new room still smelled like smoke and had dirt on the walls and floor. The shower never warmed up, no matter how long I waited, and the handle fell off. Breakfast was supposed to start at 6am. When I went down at 7:30, the gravy was cold and the warmer wasn't on. I took it back and heated it in the microwave, but once warm it smelled moldy. My key card wouldn't open the ice room, and a replacement didn't work either. The man at the counter eventually had to unlock it, and wasn't friendly about it.

I travel here often for work and to see family, and the staff are consistently professional, caring, and accommodating. When my car broke down and left me stranded, I couldn't make my hotel reservation. Silvia was incredibly sweet and understanding during a stressful time, and went out of her way to help arrange a new reservation for the next day. I really appreciated her compassion and professionalism. This hotel will keep being my first choice when I'm in town.
