Motel 6 Los Angeles El Monte

When the storm on the east messed up my plans, I needed somewhere to stay and booked this place just minutes before arriving. I got into my room quickly. It’s near the I-10, so getting around is easy, and public transit is close too. I walked ten minutes to catch the train to Hollywood. The woman at the booth was very pleasant. Don’t come looking for glamour. If you want a comfortable bed, a quiet room, and a comfortable indoor temperature, this place does the job.

I was told I couldn’t extend my stay because a staff member accused me of taking my clothes off outside. I wear shorts under my pants and sometimes take the pants off, but they were shorts, not underwear. I was also told I couldn’t stay longer because I was dancing and shaking what my mama gave me outside. I followed the motel’s rules. If you stay here, apparently you can’t have any fun without staff writing notes and picking on you. They’re bullies and nit-pick.

This Motel 6 is a favorite place for me to rest and get away for a bit. My stays here are always good. Ms.Sofia, one of the front desk clerks during the week, is a real pleasure. She’s always ready and willing to help guests with whatever questions they have.

I hated this place. It was disgusting, the worst place I’ve stayed, and there were roaches. The owners park in the handicap spots and put orange traffic cones in other spots to reserve them, even though there’s clearly no parking. When a family member broke a rib, we tried to leave while she still had the broken rib. I was loading her car, but the office told us it was parked too close to the other vehicle we were traveling in. They made me move her car and walk all the way to the sidewalk on Peck. They never asked if she was okay. The only thing they asked was whether we planned to start a lawsuit. They had us sign a paper right away, but because she’d also suffered a concussion, we were advised that the paper she signed holds no power in this case and that moving forward is highly recommended. They’ll probably hear from us again, since they didn’t want to cover us in a less expensive way on their end.
