Jonathan, the Director of Rooms at the Four Seasons Boston, turned a frustrating booking problem into a very positive stay. I'd booked a room through a third-party site for $1,800, then found the exact same room for nearly $1,000 less on the Four Seasons website. The third-party platform refused my cancellation request so I could book direct. When I called the hotel, Jonathan took it upon himself to contact the company and work toward a solution. His professionalism, kindness, and willingness to go beyond what most people would do left a huge impression. The service helped make my Boston stay truly positive, and it was the best customer service I've ever received. I'll keep staying with the Four Seasons when I'm in Boston, largely because of Jonathan. He represents the kind of hospitality I hope for from a world-class hotel.

The location was a treat, with the Boston Public Gardens just steps away, and we enjoyed walking there every day. Our son also got to go on a morning run around Boston with the chef. It's complimentary, though check the schedule to see if it's offered during your visit and season. We loved the complimentary morning drinks in the coffee shop, especially the lattes, and the hot cider and sugar cookies in the lobby were welcome after a cold evening out. The hotel itself has a beautiful, warm feel. The lobby may be the loveliest I've ever seen, and the rooms are wonderful too. From the valet team to the coffee shop baristas, everyone was helpful and friendly. The decor is impeccable, and it was lovely just to sit and enjoy the space. On our last morning, a false emergency alarm went off. The system worked well: announcements played in the hallways, elevators were blocked, and staff quickly directed us down the stairs and out. We'd recently had a false fire alarm at another hotel where the response wasn't good, so it was reassuring to see this handled well.

The location was great and the staff were nice, but drilling from renovations went on throughout our stay and nobody had warned us. It was terrible. The spa area was closed too, so I felt a bit ripped off.

The pool is beautiful and works for all ages, and the rooms are comfortable. The hotel is especially friendly to kids: there was a secret surprise at check-in and a scavenger hunt throughout the hotel. The complimentary morning coffee shop is a nice start to the day, and the staff there are super friendly.

We stayed two nights as a couple and came away wanting to return with our children. The location was great, the design lovely, and the staff warm and friendly. We made use of the gym, pool, bar, and restaurant, and they charged our EV overnight. A real Boston gem that exceeded expectations.
