Hampton Inn & Suites El Paso/East

I’m a Hilton member, which is why I chose Hampton Inn. Check-in was straightforward, and although I didn’t have a reservation, they had a king room available. I’d driven all night and arrived around 9am, but they let me check in right away. The room was spotless, the bed was fantastic, and I slept better than I had in a long time. Even with a busy road nearby, I hardly heard any traffic. The GM and staff were fantastic and gave excellent service. My main complaint is the Wi-Fi. The free connection is only 2-4mbs, which feels ridiculously slow in 2026. You can pay $4.95 a day for premium, at around 30 mbs. In my opinion, Wi-Fi should be free in 2026 and offer at least 100 mbs. Adding $1 to the room rate would more than cover the cost. Also, please improve the breakfast. Some of the food seemed to have been heated from frozen and was much too undercooked.

We slept really well after a long day of driving and woke up rested. The two-queen suite had plenty of space for our family of five and our pup, and it was clean and comfortable. The nearby dog-walking area was much appreciated. Breakfast had a good selection and tasted great, and the gym was roomy and well equipped. The staff were helpful and friendly. It’s conveniently close to I-10, though it took a little figuring out to find at first.

We visited family for Christmas and still had work to do, so the desk in the middle of our suite was just what I needed. The suite was more spacious in person than it looked in the photos online. The beds and pillows were comfortable, and the room was clean. The staff were kind and helpful, too. Even though it’s next to I-10, it was quieter than I expected.

I liked the room’s hard flooring, either tile or laminate, since it looks modern and is easier to clean than carpet. The room itself had a lot going for it, and the existing floor and window HVAC system worked fine during my stay. I noticed a wall panel suggesting the hotel may be updating its HVAC. A few things really got in the way. The beds aren’t secured, so they shifted around on the hard floor. The accessible shower setup was also broken: its panel fell into the tub, making it unsafe and inconvenient. Coordination was another problem. I checked in after 3 AM, put the “Do Not Disturb” sign on my door, and still got a knock at 9 AM. I’d arranged a 1 PM late checkout, yet they called at 10:30 AM to remind me to check out. That disorganization detracted from the stay. The rooms and flooring show promise, but the beds, shower accessibility, and service coordination all need attention.
