Value Place El Paso TX

Our room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and free of cigarette smell. For the price, I’d recommend this extended-stay hotel if you’re here more than a few days and can do without some standard amenities. The staff have been friendly and explained things clearly. If nobody’s at the desk, there’s a sign explaining how to call an attendant from the back. I’ve stayed at other hotels in El Paso and elsewhere, including a much pricier national chain that was worse. Some reviews I read didn’t match what I found here. My one small gripe is partly my own doing: I wash makeup off with a washcloth, and they warned me I’d be charged for another one stained with makeup. This time they gave us blue cloths, so I guess I need to buy makeup wipes.

The bathroom was dusty and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while, and I spotted a few roaches on the floor. Still, the shower was great. I had a room with two queen beds, and they were clean and comfortable. The air conditioning worked very well.

The whole floor reeked of strong cigarette smoke. I’d booked a room for eight days on the same day, but left after one night because of a family emergency. I turned in my keys and told the front desk attendant, who said I should get a refund for the remaining seven days. That turned out to be untrue. General manager Diana has been rude and unprofessional while denying my refund, even though I’m following the proper channels. Also, the Airport name is misleading, since the hotel isn’t anywhere near the airport. I’m very dissatisfied and won’t stay here again.

The bed was fairly comfortable, but its comforter had stains. We requested a non-smoking room, and while the room was designated non-smoking, it smelled of smoke. The whole floor smelled as soon as we stepped out of the elevator, and the walls are so thin we could hear neighbors flush the toilet. There were no pots or pans for the stove. I may have missed it on the website, but it would help to mention that so guests can bring their own.
