Hilton Garden Inn LAX El Segundo

I was there for a three-day conference in December. We enjoyed the rooms, the surroundings, and the pool area, and the friendly staff made the hotel very accommodating and the experience special. What I’m most grateful for is how they handled my handbag. I left it by the pool and didn’t realize until I was in San Diego. It had cash, an expensive perfume, and some documents inside. The hotel secured it and sent it to me by courier the next day. Such a relief. Thank you!

I tried this Hilton on a short trip to Los Angeles after hearing that it would match my Marriott Platinum status, as a Marriott Titanium Elite. The evening check-in on the 17th was smooth and professional, and the service was courteous. But the morning of the 18th felt completely different: the staff were unfriendly and unhelpful, with none of the basic attentiveness I expect, especially as someone staying under a loyalty status match. That inconsistency made the stay disappointing and didn’t give me a reason to move my loyalty. I’ll keep staying with Marriott, where elite recognition and service have been much more reliable.

I’ve stayed here several times and always find it very comfortable. The restaurant is great and the staff are nice. On my latest visit, the refreshed menu was very good, and I have no complaints. The hotel is next to the Mariposa Metro Stop, two stops from the LAX Airport Metro Station. From that station, it’s about ten minutes by metro to the hotel. Once the LAX people mover is running and directly connected to the airport, getting here should take roughly 20 minutes without a car or the hassle. Nearby places include Flight Path Museum & Learning Center and Topgolf El Segundo.

The grounds are lovely and, despite the location, it’s quiet. Parking is reasonably priced and the location is great. The room was clean and well equipped, and the front desk staff gave me a warm welcome. I didn’t eat, but the food looked good as I passed by. My only complaint is that the shower took a long time to heat up, though it did get hot. I’ll definitely return. Thanks to the staff!
