The front desk person was friendly and helpful, and the lobby looked nice. The room floors seemed fairly clean, and I didn't see bugs, but there was mold in some corners and on the ceiling. The air conditioner worked somewhat. It wasn't hot, but the room felt too cold and damp. People seemed to hang around the property a lot, and one night loud music played in the parking lot for several hours. On our first walk around, I was disturbed to see a shrine with candles, flowers, and other things outside one of the doors. We were evacuated from the Outer Banks during Hurricane Erin and stayed here for a few nights that we'd already paid for. When we left, my husband and I were both sick, and we moved to another hotel that was so much better. Dampness and mold aren't good.

Really good experience. My room was extremely clean when I checked in, and the front desk was respectful. I'll come back.

The bathroom was leaking, with white mold all over its outside wall. We changed rooms, but the replacement didn't have the same size bed we'd paid for, and they refused to discount it or offer the option we booked. That room had black mold and cigarette burns in the bedding and curtains, even though it was non-smoking. Disgusting place, and I'm out the money I paid. Toxic, unsafe, dangerous. Not recommended.

The walls were covered in dirt, and when we got to the room last night I had a feeling there were bugs. Sure enough, I saw a cockroach. I'll try to post a photo and video. They refused to refund us, and the non-refundable policy makes me think they know what their rooms are like. Disgusting. Choose carefully, they know they have bugs.

Melissa at the front desk deserves recognition for stepping in and helping us. Booking.com showed our reservation as complete and paid, but when we arrived, Quality Inn had nothing in its system that would let us check in. Melissa stayed patient and friendly while trying to sort it out. Booking.com's representative was no help and hung up on her. Melissa handled that respectfully and even apologized for the problem, though it wasn't her fault. The staff were exceptionally friendly from arrival through departure, and the pool was clean and a great size. The room itself was old, damp, and had some mold, and it cost more than another hotel down the street. Dogs are allowed, so keep that in mind if, like my daughter, you're allergic. I'd give Melissa's service five stars, but the room wasn't good quality. Give Melissa a raise!
