Ramada Elk City

Mike, the general manager, answered my first call and welcomed us at check-in. He was friendly and gave us useful information about nearby places to eat, including the food on site. The room was clean, neat, and definitely non-smoking, with a microwave, mini fridge, and flat screen. We ate at the on-site facility and found the food decent. The prices were better than those at nearby competitors, too. From the road, the property looked like somewhere we might avoid, possibly still under construction, so my wife and I were pleasantly surprised by the room, service, and price. Five out of five for us.

We never got the non-smoking room we reserved. The replacement was more like a “less smoking” room, and I found a bag of dirty socks and who knows what else in there. If smoke, laundry left behind, and other surprises don't bother you, this might be your place. Good luck.

I enjoyed my four nights here. The room was clean and quiet, with a flat screen TV, microwave, and mini fridge. I showed up at 11 AM even though check-in wasn't until 3, and the manager had my room ready. He was very nice. The restaurant is good, too. I recommend the Ramada.

After riding 300 miles on a motorcycle, I stopped to ask when the restaurant would open. The desk attendant spent 5-10 minutes helping someone else, then carried on with small talk without even acknowledging me, so I left. I know I was dusty after the ride, but motels are there to serve travelers. I didn't ask about rates because that was the sort of treatment I could expect. I found a Motel 6 where the staff were much more helpful. Service is what makes a business succeed.
