We were traveling with our son and booked a room with two beds, but they gave us just one. There's no lobby, and the woman took forever to answer the bell. She also appeared to be on illegal substances. Only one light worked in the room, and the area with the tiny rickety table and little chair had no lighting, so you'd sit in the dark. There was no couch. The door was so badly hung that you could see outside through the gap between the door and jamb. This is a motel, not a hotel, and I'm surprised they don't charge by the hour. What a dump.

I've ridden my motorcycle across this beautiful country often and stayed in plenty of places over the years. The OYO in Elk City, Oklahoma is the worst of them all. We arrived at 12:30 a.m., exactly when I'd told them we'd get there, but the office was locked. It took about four calls, ringing the Ring Cam bell, five more calls, banging on the windows, and finally starting my bike under the awning to wake the woman at the front desk. I'd booked ahead, but she asked me to pay again because she couldn't find my information. She only accepted that we'd paid after I showed her the confirmation email. The room had one working light and one working outlet. I had to run my 10-foot extension cord and phone block from my bedside to the sink so we could use the hair dryer we'd brought. There wasn't a hotel hair dryer mounted on the wall. No mini fridge or microwave either. The floor didn't look like it had been cleaned this month, or maybe ever. Water pressure was poor, and the finicky shower fixture made the temperature hard to control. The bed wasn't terrible, but the pillows felt like folded towels. The TV worked, about the only positive thing I can say. Check my history: I don't bash many places, but this one deserves an F. I'll never stay here again, and I recommend you don't either.

My husband and a few coworkers booked rooms here for work. When they arrived, all three were put in dirty rooms. In the second room, my husband checked for bed bugs as he always does, and the others checked too. They found bed bugs and showed the worker, who called the manager at the front desk to tell her the men were coming back. The other two rooms were still dirty, with dead and live crickets all over. The men were offered a third room, but they refused and asked for a refund. The manager said they'd get their money back. I contacted Hotels.com to check that the refund was being processed. At first no one could reach the property, so they weren't refunding us. I tried calling too, with no luck. We kept trying until we finally got a Hotels.com manager, who reached the hotel. The property then said they wouldn't refund the rooms. Since we had photos proving the bed bugs, Hotels.com refunded us anyway. The other men and we also contacted the health department, as we were advised to do, though not by Hotels.com. Don't waste your time or money here. I'd still be upset, but I'm even angrier because they said they'd refund us and then refused.

The worst hotel experience I’ve had. I booked and paid online around 11 PM while driving through a heavy storm, expecting to arrive after 1 AM. I called to make sure they knew I’d be late and wouldn’t cancel my room. It took 11 calls to reach someone; I was hung up on, left on long holds, and passed around. The person I finally spoke with said the front desk closed at 10 PM, so I wouldn’t be able to get a key. That wasn’t disclosed anywhere, and I’d booked after 10 PM. Even if I’d been standing there when I booked, I still couldn’t have gotten into the room. They refused a refund, but after I called Priceline, a representative eventually got it approved. Thank you to the Priceline guy, you were great. OYO was a nightmare, and I’ll never book there again. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this company.
