A nice, small place to get some sleep while passing through. The rooms are warm and comfortable.

The room was dirty when I moved in, with bugs everywhere and feces around the toilet bowl. The owners overcharge, and although they’ve spent money making the rooms nicer, the place still wasn’t clean. My heater was broken for four days before they brought a replacement, and that barely worked because the room has no insulation. They also go through rooms when you’re away. If you need Wi-Fi for work or school, stay somewhere else. It was absolutely horrid. The owners are terrible and genuinely slow. This is the worst place I’ve ever stayed.
Room 7 was quiet and moderately cool, at least. The rest of the stay was a mess: no communication, no cleaning service or fresh towels, no running water in the sink, a lingering odor, and no TV remote. Mr. P., communication matters. Put the Rules notice somewhere people can read it easily. Courtesy, kindness, and customer service don’t cost anything. Maybe give them a try.
My son had to sweep his room right after checking in with a lousy broom he found outside because the floor was so awful. A day later, the room still made me feel like I needed to shower in disinfectant. There’s no heat in his room, and he didn’t choose to check in there. The walls have rust and peeling paint. I can’t believe this motel is still in business. They’re definitely violating health codes.
March 5, 2018, it was 19° outside and 45° in the room, with no heat. The outlets were like the ones in my childhood home: nothing would stay plugged in, even upside down. At least the room kept my food at a safe temperature. I never even got to lie down. By the time I worked out how to charge my phone in the car, it was time to leave. What a waste of a good location. My wallet took a hit, and so did my data plan with their unlimited No-Fi. The icing on the cake was feeling like the owners’ grandchildren were hanging around just to collect the night’s take. They’re not firm enough to put this generation in its place, and it makes mom-and-pop businesses look bad. I’d rather try the Bates Motel next time. At least there I might feel my dollar could have some dignity.
