Quality Inn Elkton -St. Augustine South

We had to leave and find somewhere else to sleep because the bed's mattress protector was extremely dirty, with obvious stains. We'd booked for one night, but saw its condition as soon as we entered the room and couldn't stay. Cleanliness should be a priority at any hotel. Very disappointing, and I don't recommend this place.

The second room was no better: blood on the sheets, broken lamp shades, and a broken toilet. There were spiders all around the outside, too. The first room had two live cockroaches in the bathroom and another on the bed, the covers smelled awful, and everything felt dirty and badly maintained. We were so disgusted we didn't even stay for breakfast. I'd never recommend Old Town Inn. The cleanliness, hygiene, and upkeep were completely unacceptable.

The room smelled, and the comforter looked dirty, yet the man at the front desk was focused on my cat. We're moving and brought our cat with us, so I searched for pet-friendly hotels and the website said pets were allowed. We checked in and paid before he asked whether we had pets, even though I'd marked it on the reservation. When my husband said we had a cat, the man kept repeating that it couldn't come into the room. We spent an hour in the car calling friends to see if anyone could help. I finally called and asked why the website said pet friendly if pets weren't allowed. He then told me there was a $20 deposit per pet per day. On speaker, I heard him repeatedly tell my husband not to bring the cat in and that they don't allow pets. This place is hardly the four seasons. He was rude and condescending, and shouldn't be in customer service. You'll be beyond disappointed if you stay here.

I left my ring in their room, and when I called, they found it right away and called me back. They even sent it back without any hassle. They were really helpful and accommodating. I'm very thankful for the good service.
