Mary's Land Farm

During our five-day stay, my husband and I loved spending cool autumn evenings in the beautifully appointed living room by a cozy fire. Each morning the inn keeper served delicious breakfast, including freshly baked options. The restored farmhouse has a peaceful, pastoral setting in Howard County, while still being conveniently close to historic Ellicott City and Columbia Town Center. It felt like home away from home. We had a wonderful visit and will definitely return.

Our suite was cozy and lovely, the setting was peaceful, and we got to really unwind in nature. The bonfire was ready when we arrived with everything we needed, and breakfast was fresh and delicious. This was our second visit to Mary Land Farm, and it was just as magical as the first. My first stay was so special that for my son’s 10th birthday, this was the only place he wanted to take his friends. He loves animals, and the team went out of their way to tailor fun experiences to his interests, including feeding calves and pigs. It’s officially a yearly family tradition. Absolute perfection!

The place was cozy and upscale, with heated floors, a peaceful setting, a yummy breakfast, and really friendly, helpful people. It was just perfect for a few days away. I’d like to spend more time exploring the grounds next time. Maybe add a throw on the sofa? Can’t wait to come back. Thanks for a wonderful break!

The farm chores tour with Halyna was the highlight for us. She took us around the whole farm in her golf cart, introduced us to the animals, and got our daughter involved in feeding them, from bottle-feeding calves to tossing food to the pigs. We all had a blast. She’s sweet, funny, and amazing with kids. If you’re visiting with kids, do the farm chores tour and ask for Halyna. There’s lots for children to do, with plenty of play spaces. We also got to join the weekend harvest festival, which was included with our stay. We live out of state, but plan to make this an annual family fall tradition. Thank you Mary’s Land Farm. We’ll see you next year. The care started before we arrived. About a week before the trip, we got an email offering to answer questions and help plan. We were traveling with our toddler, so I had plenty of questions, and they answered quickly and graciously. Their advice led us to book the farm chores experience. A couple of days later they called to check that we had what we needed and handle any last-minute questions. After a long travel day, we arrived at night to find a pack n play with sheets and a blanket waiting in our room. We’d brought our own, but it was a thoughtful touch for families. The room was beautiful and spotless, especially impressive on a working farm. At breakfast they had a high chair ready for our daughter, plus toddler utensils and cups. We bring those everywhere because we never expected them to have any. It was so sweet and made her feel like an important guest. The staff were welcoming, and breakfast was INCREDIBLE.
