The WiFi was awful. I could only connect about half the time, and when it did work it was painfully slow. Streaming on the TV buffered or wouldn’t load, so I ended up watching cable. The elevator smelled like urine and seemed like it might break down whenever I got in. Breakfast was just bad coffee and protein bars, and I thought the $100 refundable security deposit was high for a motel. I’d booked a nonsmoking room, but it smelled of cigarettes and the sheets had burn holes. On the plus side, staff were incredibly friendly and check-in and checkout were seamless. The room was surprisingly comfortable for a motel, with a flat-screen TV, a lighted mirror, great air conditioning, microwave, and fridge. Housekeeping was exceptional. They came daily even when I was out, taking trash and replacing toilet paper and towels. Some people might not like staff entering while they’re away, but I didn’t mind. The laundromat, gym, vending machines, nearby stores, and restaurants were handy too. I’d call it a two-star motel, though I’m rating my stay a three. It’s okay for 1-3 days. If you need to work on a computer or plan a longer stay, I’d look for a place with better WiFi and breakfast.

I’m a general contractor, a platinum member, and I come here often. If it weren’t for my last experience, I’d give the property three stars. At my stay a week before my last one, I was in room #115 and left my black Ray Ban Meta glasses there when I checked out at 8am. I called the front desk before 11am to report it. The young man with glasses who’s usually at the counter said housekeeping would find them and return them to the office, and asked me to call the next day. When I did, he said they hadn’t found them. I called again the following day and got the same answer. I counted them as lost and bought another pair. The following Thursday, I returned to book a room and saw the same employee wearing Ray Ban glasses in the same color and finish as my $300 pair. It could’ve been a coincidence, but I’d replaced the factory lenses with custom aftermarket ones, and his looked identical to mine. I didn’t want to be rude, so I told him I’d lost mine the week before. He admitted he remembered my call, but kept saying they couldn’t find the glasses. I asked if they were mine and whether he could check the serial number in the app. He said, "I'll show you my app with the serial number but if I do you will be banned from the property". That made me suspicious. I said, "that's fine sir. Ban me. Can I see your serial number now?" He replied, "No now please leave". I figured the manager might clear up the misunderstanding, but he rushed into the lobby, didn’t ask me anything, and immediately yelled for me to leave, threatening to call the police. I said, "Great" and waited. He never called them, so I had to.

The rooms have been renovated and look more modern, and parking was fine. The location was great, with a bar-restaurant right next door and a plaza less than a mile away. It was worth what we paid, though the bed felt a little cheap and wasn’t high enough, and the tub had a couple of stains that looked like they’d been there a while.

Asia was the only staff member I had a positive experience with. They tried to accommodate me and moved me to two different rooms, but both reeked of cigarette smoke. Other staff shouted and banged on my door without identifying themselves, demanding I come out because they said I was past checkout. I wasn’t. I had a paid receipt showing an extended late checkout, and I’d also put a note in my reservation. They should have checked their records and receipts before behaving in such an erratic, unprofessional way. They didn’t take responsibility. It’s already hard enough to get by in this economy, so I’d strongly suggest spending your hard-earned money elsewhere unless you enjoy being shouted at, mistreated, and put in smoke-filled rooms.

The staff were polite, professional, and helpful, and the hotel is in a great spot with lots of restaurant choices. Housekeeping and maintenance were exceptional. The elevator badly needs servicing, though. It shakes a lot, takes ages to open, and the lights don’t work at all.
