Eagle's Lodge Motel

We were lucky to find a room on August 7th and 8th without reservations. For the season and such short notice, the price was fair. Staff were all very nice and took care of us well. They even set up a shaded spot where I could wash my motorcycle. The building and rooms are clean, but they could use a refresh. Breakfast was limited but okay, though the coffee wasn’t strong enough. The pool is definitely out of order and needs repair.

The staff were friendly, and the accommodations were basic but clean. The decor is quite dated, though the place is fairly well maintained. Breakfast options are very limited, and the coffee is below par.

This was the only reasonably priced place we found in the area that fit our budget while we were traveling through. We needed a comfortable bed and a hot shower, and it suited us perfectly. The place is clean, close to lots of attractions, and outside the bustle and crowds. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and the owners are working to update things, even if some parts feel a little dated. They were also happy to ship me something I left behind. We’d stay again. The staff were fantastic and seemed to truly want us to enjoy our stay. I also liked that the continental breakfast started very early, I think at 5AM, and there was good access to nearby food and stores. At night, the sitting area had a great feel for eating or just relaxing. We stayed in October 2023 for easier access to Acadia and Bar Harbor, and it worked well for what it is: a budget-friendly motel. The rooms and building are dated, and the signage, entrance, and parking could use attention. The area is fairly urban. If you expect it to be like the $300-per-night hotels in Bar Harbor, you may be disappointed, but we enjoyed our stay.
