The room had a clean, airy feel, with simple Southwestern touches, and it was quiet enough despite being just off the highway. In the morning, Ms. A pointed us to coffee in the office and had some fruit and grab-and-go snacks alongside it. The Folgers was better than I expected. We were in town for a funeral and only needed a place for less than a day. Ms. A was kind from the first phone call and made sorting out our dates feel easy. When our ride plans fell apart, she suggested Fred, who then helped us find Dennis to drive us from PHX after Uber failed. Both were pleasant and reliable to coordinate with. That warmth made a stressful, rushed trip easier. I can see how wifi might struggle in such a wide-open area with scattered highway demand, though.

The curtains and blinds didn't give me privacy, so I had to rig a towel over the windows. The wifi signal was so weak I couldn't use it, and the cable only had a few channels nobody would watch. I told the woman at the desk it was hard as a single mom trying to get my little one settled so I could sleep. She suggested using the lobby wifi. How was I supposed to sleep there? They didn't offer any fix or compensation, just said, "I understand." Clearly, she didn't. What a waste of my money.

The woman at reception greeted us with a smile and was really nice. The room, though, had none of the things the ad said it would, including breakfast and good WiFi. I also found random red crumbs in one of the drawers. 🤢🤢😡😡

The desk clerk was kind and sympathetic, and the service was good for the rest of my stay through the next morning. The trouble started with a reservation I made through a Google link to Super.com for the AMERICAS BEST VALUE motel in Eloy, Arizona. Super.com charged my card and emailed a confirmation, but when I arrived, the motel said it had no reservation for me and did not work with Super.com. They offered to book me directly for a higher amount. I contacted Super.com late Friday night. They confirmed they had my information about the motel and its staff contact details, and said they would refund me. I expected to pay the lower confirmed total and was disappointed there wasn't an immediate resolution, but I chose to pay the higher price so I could get a room. The motel told me verbally it hadn't committed fraud and could not honor Super.com's transaction, though I don't know what communications took place between them. I can only say that someone committed fraud against me, not who for certain. I'd contact the motel directly instead of booking through super.com.

The rooms are older, but they were really clean, and there were no bugs. The staff were super friendly, the place was well lit at night, and it was very quiet with no strange people wandering around. Thank you! 😃
