Days Inn Eloy

I’ve been coming here on and off for years while traveling for construction work. The beds are clean and comfortable, and I can always count on hot water for a shower. The new owners took over this month, and they’re respectful and make sure guests are well taken care of. Rates are the lowest around here, with extra discounts for longer weekly stays. I’d definitely recommend it.

That shower was a highlight, with strong pressure and reliably hot water for a long, steamy wash after the day. My room at MHO Hotel in Eloy was quiet, clean, and comfortable, and the bed made it easy to sleep well. I’d happily stay here again if I’m back in Eloy, AZ.

I was turned away after trying to check in with my trained service dog, not an ESA. They first said I’d have to pay a $25 fee and leave a $75 deposit. I understand ADA guidelines do not allow fees or deposits for a service animal. The front desk also asked what kind of service dog he was. I told her that wasn’t appropriate and explained the two questions allowed under ADA guidance: whether the dog is required because of a disability, and what task he’s trained to perform. The staff called the owner anyway. When I said I’d leave an honest review, they told me I couldn’t stay. I did get a refund, but the whole thing felt upsetting and discriminatory. If you travel with a service animal, I strongly recommend another hotel.

Cassidy made check-in fun, and even makes a mean pot of coffee. I also enjoyed talking with Kashen, the owner. A few late nights over coffee turned into new friendships. The room we had wasn’t fully remodeled, so the wear of the older building showed and it could use some TLC. Kashen seems to be making good progress as the new owner, though. The shower could use a higher-pressure head. MHO Hotel was an unexpectedly pleasant stay for the price, with rooms nearly half the average cost and easy access on and off I-10. We’ll stay at our friends’ place, MHO, on our next trip.
