Stay Inn Ely

The lobby has a nice, home-like feel, and the rooms are great. I never saw any staff, but communication about getting into the lobby and room with the key code was good. I’d definitely stay here again.

The shared kitchen was well stocked, so it’d be a good spot to cook if you need to. There’s also a comfy shared family room by the fireplace and a covered porch outside. The rooms are very nice, with creaky wood floors that reminded us of Grandma’s house. It’s hard to tell this is a B&B when breakfast isn’t included. Shops and restaurants are within walking distance, and communication with management was excellent.

It was a unique, fun stay at this super cute, cozy place. Everything was self-service, and the room was nice and clean, with a locally crafted mini bar of soap on the towels. There’s a full kitchen and fireplace in the common area. The room got a little too warm, and I’m not sure the thermostat worked. We went down to Northern Grounds and enjoyed a complimentary great cup of coffee and a muffin as part of our stay.

We loved the Indigo Suite and would happily stay again. It’s on the top floor, so it feels more private. The rooms on the main level are right off the kitchen, which could be convenient or annoying, and the two upstairs rooms are next to each other. The place has thoughtful extras like a little library, board games, and free bath products. It’s clean, charming, and well equipped, with a location in town that can’t be beat, though it doesn’t try to look fancy. We stayed overnight with a friend. The free coffee and pastry are available just down the street, and the cranberry wild rice scone is sooooo good! We also made a nice breakfast in the kitchen and enjoyed the cozy fireplace. The TV wasn’t working properly when we arrived, but after some fiddling we got it going. I thought the mattress was a bit saggy and uncomfortable, though my roommate slept well.
