Best Western River Region Inn -Luling

I’d stay here again if I’m in the area. My King Deluxe room was comfortable for the few nights, with a pillow top mattress, updated decor, a desk, armchair and footstool, and a two drawer dresser. There was a spacious mini fridge, microwave, iron and board, hairdryer, new bathroom flooring, and three mirrors. The newer AC and heater worked well, and the HDMI TV swivels on its base. Free wifi, friendly front desk, generally quiet, and a washer and dryer on site. It was easy to find and I felt safe in the area. The clientele seemed mostly working class, lots of pickup trucks. A couple small drawbacks: it’s near train tracks, though they weren’t annoyingly loud, and the parking lot can be tight for large pickups when full. The room had carpet, which I prefer to avoid for cleanliness, though it looked only a few years old.

All the rooms open right onto the parking lot, which is handy if you work out of town and move around often. The staff were super friendly, and breakfast was hot and free. It used to be a Best Western, and it’s still a really nice motel. 10/10, I’ll stay again.

This was one of the worst motels I’ve stayed in. I wasn’t impressed and would sleep in my car before coming back. I’ll never stay here again.
