The bathrooms are really nice and clean, the fountain drink machine is a bonus, and the diet Mtn Dew is pretty good. Security also seems on point. The guards look professional in their nice uniforms, and they’re helpful and very nice. Parking is plentiful, and a very nice man came over to our spot and gave us a ride in. I’ve been here a few times. Today, Tuesday, there were smokers everywhere, and the non-smoking section is laughably small with no solid walls. See picture. It’s close to home, and weekdays are usually quiet, with more staff than patrons. The staff seem to enjoy each other’s company, judging by the boredom, wandering laps, lingering, and endless conversations. Some employees could use a visit to the hairdresser. In particular, the man with the long, nasty beard and a shirt that looked slept in seemed to hang around the poker tables near rapid roulette. The cashier with variegated green hair, like a leprechaun, also looked unprofessional. Admittedly, saying green hair on older women isn’t a good look in public is a judgey opinion. The tall, thin bearded man talks nonstop. I saw him hanging around and chatting with a dealer while two customers were trying to focus on their game. That would be a big turnoff for me, and neither customer seemed to be engaging with him. I enjoy rapid roulette, and so far I’ve come out ahead.

It’s a nice place with great staff. Since it isn’t so large, it’s easy to get around and feels pretty intimate. Just be aware that the casino closes at 11:45 on weekdays and the rooms don’t have refrigerators.

9/28/24: Oofda, tonight it feels like the place isn’t worried about regulations. Everyone is losing, and the machines seem set below legal limits for their $25,000 drawing. Oh well, good luck to the other folks! 🙂 Earlier, on the night of 10/21/23 into the early morning, the security guy at the turnstile made it clear that the place doesn’t actually stay open until 2 AM on weekends. They wanted people out at 1:45 AM. So how much can you trust a casino that gives the wrong closing time? The previous time I played, I did well on the machines, and tap beer at $3.25 is one of the cheapest around. Up to you to decide, but the rating clearly calls for a no-go.

The room was big enough, but I was surprised there was no fridge or microwave. The TV had a limited channel selection, missing even the main channels, and there wasn’t a channel guide to check. My husband called staff for help, but they weren’t able to help him.

We enjoyed the casino itself. It was nice and clean. We stayed in the travel park for several days after finding the city park campground full. There are 69 paved asphalt sites with back-in access and electrical hookups for 50, 30, or 20 amps. We fit our 40-foot motorhome into one, with just enough room to park our car sideways in front. The campground has a nice, modern bath house and a dump station, though the water-fill hydrant was marked as non-drinking water. Campers can have the hotel’s continental breakfast. We tried it once and chose to eat in our camper after that. It costs $25 a night, plus 12% tax. There were never more than three campers there at once, including us, during our several days. It’s an okay campground, but a few changes could make it a lot better.
