We were glad they were open so late because we were exhausted. The room looked clean and smelled fine, and the bed was okay. I was happy there was an actual comforter on it. The shower curtain had stains, though, and there seemed to be some black mold by the tub. There was also what looked like a camera under the TV. A sticker said it was a remote sensor and not to touch it, but it still made me wonder. I covered it without touching it, and the remote worked fine. I uncovered it just before we left. I travel a lot and have stayed in plenty of motels, but I’ve never seen anything like that in a room.

We were wiped out from driving, so the clean sheets and great beds were what mattered. We fell asleep as soon as our heads hit the pillows. The room seemed fine at first, then the more we looked, the more flaws we noticed, so we quit inspecting and settled in. There was some road noise, which isn’t the hotel’s fault. The shower had three settings, freezing, lukewarm, or scalding. The front desk staff were friendly, and we even got greeted by the office cat. For the price, it did what we needed. Thanks!

I was traveling from Oklahoma to California for rehab, and the staff went well out of their way to look after me. They let someone else pay for my room and let me stay in it. After checkout, they also let me wait in the lobby for three and a half hours until my ride came. They were very kind, and I’d recommend this hotel.

It was easy to find and get back onto the interstate, and the price came to only a little over $50 with tax. The place is old and grimy, though. The owner, who runs the motel, knocked on my door 20 minutes before checkout to tell me to leave while I was in a Zoom meeting. I found that really rude. I’ve never had that happen before; motels usually call after checkout. The bar soap looked ancient, so I was glad I brought my own hygiene products. I was only allowed two coffees, one in the room and one I asked for at the desk. At that price, I guess you get what you pay for.
