The staff were nice and helpful, and I felt bad for the employees having to work there. The manager and owners should be ashamed, though. For what we paid for Western Days weekend, we couldn't even watch TV, the room smelled strongly of mold, and there were signs that looked like bed bugs. Breakfast was meant to run until 9, but there was none at 8:15. At least four other people came in after us looking for breakfast, and they didn't put any out. There were no napkins or forks either. Sorry, but this stay wasn't worth the money. Don't waste yours.

The front desk woman was kind and tried to help, but her manager refused a full refund because we found the bed bug in the morning rather than at check-in. That's a ridiculous standard when bed bugs don't follow check-in schedules. We got only a partial refund, and were told pest control would spray the next day. That didn't address our belongings or the chance we'd take bugs home after already sleeping in the room. We found a dead bed bug on the bedding, then noticed a blood spot on the sheet, suggesting at least one had been active. After a weekend that had already involved mold at another hotel, we were horrified, especially with a baby with us. This was traumatic and embarrassing to write about, but I hope it helps someone avoid the same experience. If cleanliness and safety matter to you, think twice before booking.

Misty (I hope that's her name) made our stay. She was so kind and helpful, and really went above and beyond. The place was clean and quiet, with super comfy beds. It's not fancy, but for the price I couldn't ask for more. I heard they have breakfast too, though after the previous night's adventures we didn't wake up in time to try it. I'm sure it was lovely.

The rooms are clean and nice now, and the lobby's Christmas decorations make it feel festive and cozy. I've stayed here several times over the years because my sister lives in Yorktown, and the hotel has made a complete turnaround for the better. The staff gave me extraordinary service, especially MISTY. She's super friendly and welcoming, and you can tell she genuinely loves her job and cares about the guests. I'm excited about the changes, definitely recommend staying here, and will be back. GREAT JOB MISTY! GREAT JOB EVERYONE!
