The location is hard to beat: it's a quaint 24-room lodging just two blocks from Moonlight Beach. The third floor has great ocean and sunset views. It's not fancy, but it's bright and clean with just the right amount of charm. Julianna was professional and accommodating. Thanks, MBM, for a great stay!

We could walk to the beach from this nice little motel, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Our room was neat, clean, and quiet, with little noise from other guests. The small kitchen was useful for preparing light meals. The first room had no blinds on a rear window, which would be tough for anyone sensitive to light, and the shower pressure was poor. Staff moved us to another room with a better view that solved both problems.

Room 208 was spacious and had an amazing beach view. Everything was clean, parking was convenient, and local shops and restaurants were all within walking distance. We spent three nights here and really enjoyed the stay.

We had a great break at the Moonlight Beach Motel, and it was excellent value. Our room had plenty of space for four, was well maintained, and looked out toward Moonlight beach. There was also a small patio at the entrance. The bedding was comfortable, and the sheets were changed frequently. It's a peaceful spot for walking into downtown Encinitas. The Coaster station is only a six-minute walk away, with trains to towns up and down the coast and San Diego about 40 minutes away.

The room was spacious and clean, with a lovely beach view from the balcony and a screen door for letting in the breeze. The bathroom was a little worn but clean and functional. Moonlight Beach and downtown Encinitas are both a short walk away, though be ready for the hills. If you want a good mix of location and value, this is a solid option.
