The room itself was fine, and the woman handling breakfast downstairs was such a lively, lovely host. The bathroom was another story. We arrived around midnight with our 3-year-old and 9-month-old, got them settled, and then found a dirty sink, an unclean toilet, a gray tub with pink rings, and hair and dust all over the floor. I used the Clorox wipes I had on the tub because the baby needed a bath the next morning, and cleaned the floor as best I could with tissues and a little water. I couldn't wake the kids to move rooms, and most rooms were already booked for the wedding we were attending. There was no shower curtain either, but after I called the desk in the morning, someone brought up a clean one quickly.

The rooms were roomy and clean, and our housekeeper was smiling when she came by. I like that the pullout bedding isn't kept in the room, so we know it's fresh when we need it. Evan and Amanda handled my request easily and were really helpful. Traveling with my kids, I especially appreciate staff who are kind and caring. The managers even gave the employees Thanksgiving off, which says a lot about how they treat their team. Maybe the best hotel in Chickasha. Thanks for a great stay!

The other staff members we met were warm, professional, and tried to help my family while we were grieving. The head of housekeeping was especially professional, and the evening clerks were kind and accommodating when we asked for linens and then had to report a stained sheet. I appreciated all of that. But our stay was already difficult: we had come from Dallas for my sister's funeral, checked in after 10 a.m., found that the room phone didn't work, there were only two face towels in a double room with a pullout sofa, and no sheets for the sofa bed. I slept poorly because of back pain from a recent accident and repeatedly changing sheets. At about 4:30 a.m., I told the overnight clerk I wanted to speak with a manager later. When I spoke with Evan at the desk around 8 a.m., he pointed out a note and said he could call a manager, but no one would answer because of an employee funeral. I was asking for compensation for the major inconvenience, including the broken phone and all the trips to the desk after our late check-in. He immediately said he couldn't do anything and that upper management wasn't available. His argumentative, dismissive tone was upsetting. Later, when I came back to get the names of the staff who had helped us, he said the lead housekeeper wasn't available and asked what he could do. I told him I wasn't comfortable getting help from him after our earlier interaction. As I walked away, he told another guest I was “mad.” I came back to say that was exactly the problem. When I reminded him that employees represent the brand, he said I could “teach him,” which felt very inappropriate. In all my years traveling, I've never had a hotel employee treat me with that much dismissiveness. It made an already painful time for my family even more disappointing.

The housekeeping crew clearly puts in a lot of work. We had fresh towels and neatly made beds each day, and the whole hotel was very clean. Everyone on staff was friendly and accommodating. A beautiful place to stay when you're in Chickasha.

Housekeeping did a great job with my room and respected my request for privacy during most of my extended stay. The breakfast was fresh, clean, well stocked, and had a good amount of variety. The lobby entrance had been turned into a beautiful harvest display, and you could tell a lot of care had gone into the property. My photo of the lobby came out blurry, though, and doesn't really show how stunning it looked.
