Knights Inn Endwell

For the price, the rooms were okay, even though they weren't very clean. The service was the bigger problem. Trash cans weren't provided anywhere in the room, and I couldn't get clean towels or trash bags unless it was my designated day, which only came twice a week.

There are needles in the parking lot, and homeless people hang around on the steps and harass you when you try to go upstairs. The washers, dryers, and ice machine are broken or unavailable for public use, and they even charge for toilet paper. Over the past five years, this place has gone downhill a lot. It now seems to house mostly people placed in emergency housing through DSS, so the crowd feels very sketchy. The owners are rude. Most rooms have bed bugs, and when people report them, the owners don't seem to care or even try to spray. My friend and her son are staying there, and she had to buy bug bombs and kill them before they could stay.

I've been here for an extended stay, and this is my favorite place DSS has put me. The owner doesn't have the courtesy to kick you out after two weeks like the other hotels around here do, and I appreciate that a lot. My room has a brand new bathroom and air conditioning that works really well, plus a huge bed and all the basics I need to be comfortable. I haven't seen bugs, roaches, or bed bugs like others have mentioned, though I keep my room really clean since we're adults and living here. The family who owns the place is friendly and nice, and the housekeeper and maintenance guys are great too. Treat them with respect and they'll do the same. I know some people don't like this place, but I don't have any complaints. Thank you, knights inn ☺️

Roaches everywhere, and some rooms also have bed bugs. It's nasty. If you have kids or any self-respect, don't stay here.
