Paradise Cove at Lemon Bay

The rooms have plenty of space, the kitchen is well stocked, and the beds are comfortable. We spent a lovely morning on the gorgeous dock with coffee, watching manatees and dolphins, and later cooked freshly caught fish and shrimp on the grill at the outdoor table. The pool was a nice place to cool off, and using the bikes to get to the beach was quick and easy. Our extended weekend at Paradise Cove was so relaxing and convenient. Thanks to Jason for being such a wonderful host. We’ll definitely be back!

Paradise cove was such a lovely place to stay while visiting Englewood. The pool is amazing, the rooms are spacious, and the beds are cozy. I loved the decor, too. We had coffee on the dock in the morning and drinks there at night, with manatees munching on seagrass and even dolphins swimming past as a bonus. Thanks so much, Jason, for hosting us.

I stayed in unit 5, with a bay window looking out over the water, and it didn’t disappoint. The location is great, and the mornings were peaceful and quiet. Five stars.

The grounds have a laid-back charm, with a small pool, mini putt-putt, bean bag toss, and a nice spot for family gatherings. We rented The Tarpon and The Snook for our fishing trip at Paradise Cove on Lemon Bay after last year’s hurricane made our usual stay at Skip’s Marina impossible. The bay access won me over, and it turned out to be a good choice. The Tarpon had clearly been renovated with care after the hurricane and was just right. The Snook was more basic, with a bed and a roof, but its single small AC unit wasn’t enough for Florida’s July heat, and there was no hot water. My son, his fiancée, and their friend spent most of the day on the water, so they could use our shower or didn’t mind too much after getting sunburnt. The hosts were attentive, and I appreciated the effort they’re putting into rebuilding. They let us have a big family dinner one evening as long as we considered the other guests, which meant a lot. For fishing, the location worked really well: easy bay access without dealing with the Englewood bridges or tricky canals. The dock wasn’t ideal for boats, but it was in excellent condition compared with many others in the area that still can’t be used. I’d normally have asked for a partial refund, but recognizing how hard the hosts are working to rebuild and welcome people felt more important. If the rates stay reasonable, Paradise Cove could become the new base for our Simmons Family Annual Fishing Trip. We saw real heart, humility, and hustle here, and wish the hosts continued success as they rebuild and grow stronger after the storm.
