The staff handled a small issue so well that they turned us into return guests, and I've seen customer service at five-star places that wasn't as good. The rooms have a retro look from about 70 years ago, yet ours was clean, updated, and maintained enough to be impressive. Right off the highway, the property welcomes you with a lovely spring creek and a huge, lush lawn. If you're staying near Ennis, just book it. You'll be glad you did.

We've returned to the El Western since the early '80s, staying in spring, summer, fall, and even winter over the years. The cabins are clean, the setting is lovely, and it's close to Ennis and nearby tourist spots. You're always made to feel welcome, and the pride of ownership shows everywhere, especially in those lush green lawns. We'll keep coming back and look forward to more cabin stays. We rented a cabin for a quick weekend to relax and celebrate our wedding anniversary, and it was comfortable and better than we expected. When management learned about the anniversary, they moved us to a larger cabin with a king-size bed. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and they went beyond what we expected to help us feel at home.

The grounds are beautiful and peaceful, a great fit for a group gathering, but the people made the event especially memorable. We held a multi-day event at the El Western, and from planning through checkout Kambree was consistently responsive, helpful, and proactive. They gave thoughtful recommendations, managed complicated logistics, coordinated room assignments and deliveries, and handled last-minute changes, with little extras that made guests feel welcome. Everything ran smoothly thanks to their professionalism and care. Kambree and Rachael, thanks again. I'd highly recommend El Western for events or a relaxing Montana getaway.

I've stayed here several times, and it never lets me down. The place keeps its history in mind, stays clean, and has a wonderful location. The young man who checked us in on August 25th was kind, professional, and knowledgeable. We'll be back.
