SureStay Plus by Best Western Enterprise

The place is in a beautiful setting, so getting a room with a view is worth it. Ours was clean and quiet, and breakfast was included and good. There were soft and firm pillows to choose from, plus a mini fridge in the room and a handy ice machine. We also saw deer nearby in the morning.

The location is nicely set back from the road, so we didn't get traffic noise, and the mountain view in front of the hotel is beautiful. We stayed three nights while visiting the area. Our clean, comfortable first-floor room was easy to get to, and the front desk staff were friendly and checked us in quickly. The price felt high, but we liked the room and location enough that we'd consider staying again. The pool's overpowering chlorine smell filled the whole first floor for our entire visit. It wasn't noticeable once we were in our room, but I was afraid to get in the pool in case it hurt my skin. I never saw anyone using it. We also used the washer and dryer, but the desk had no laundry soap, so we went into town to buy some from a laundromat vending machine. The dryer was missing its lint filter.

The breakfast had a good selection, and the hotel being pet-friendly meant we got to see all kinds of cute animals during our stay. The front desk staff were super nice and welcoming, and check-in was smooth. We booked two rooms with jet tubs, and both were fairly clean and comfortable. The upstairs room had no odd smells and a beautiful sunset view. The downstairs room smelled a little musty. I'm sensitive to smells, though, and the rest of my family didn't seem to notice.

Service was horrible, and the rooms were only a little better than a Super 8 despite the high price. I've never seen a lobby and front desk close at 10 pm before. There isn't much choice around here, I guess that's why they can charge so much. It's wild that the same price could get you a much nicer hotel in a resort area like Sun Valley.
