The hotel WiFi was fantastic. They use Starlink, and it was honestly the best hotel WiFi experience I've had. There wasn't a microwave in the room, but the one in the lobby was really nice. My neighbors were exhausted skiers, so although the walls were thin and the floors creaked a lot, I didn't hear a peep from them. I paid $122 plus tax for a weekday at the Village Inn at the end of March. I know all three Crystal Mountain hotels are said to be in pretty bad shape, so my expectations weren't high. Still, my bathroom had two problems: what I think was a mushroom growing out of the wall, and a strong sewage smell that came up from the toilet the first few times we used it. The sheets were stained, and the thermoelectric fridge was a little weak, but I was glad to have it.

The room at the Village Inn was small but clean, and it worked for us for one night while visiting the east side of Mount Rainier National Park. It's a ski resort.

The staff were really welcoming and friendly, and the location made the stay easy. The lifts and restaurants were only a couple minutes away on foot. We'd definitely come back.

Crystal Mountain Resort was where I started my holiday and had a really nice weekend. It was my first time skiing in the USA, and I was glad to stay so close to the ski area. The hotel was great.

The room was cozy and clean, with a spotless bathroom, mini-fridge, and coffee maker. There was a TV with a DVD slot, and the front desk had a big collection of DVDs to borrow. The room was quiet during the off-season, and when I arrived, reception greeted me by name, which felt thoughtful. There's no elevator, and reaching the lobby meant taking stairs and briefly going outdoors, a bit inconvenient in cold weather. We found a free breakfast spread at the front desk even though breakfast wasn't included: cereal, oatmeal cups, Jimmy Dean frozen breakfast meals, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. That was especially helpful because nearby restaurants weren't open in the morning. For dinner we ate at 'The Snorting Elk & Alpine Inn', open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. The Hungarian Goulash Crock was hearty and delicious on a cold mountain evening, and it was nice not to have to drive into town. We stayed at the Village Inn at Crystal Mountain Resort, Washington, after visiting Mount Rainier National Park. We came in through the Nisqually Entrance, explored Paradise, and took Stevens Canyon Road to the resort. It's about six miles up SR-123 inside the park, making it a handy overnight stop. At checkout, the receptionist chatted warmly and suggested Tipsoo Lake and Federation Forest State Park. Both were lovely recommendations. Even in the off-season, the place felt well cared for, and our stay was comfortable. The property was quiet, and everything seemed well looked after.
