Wilder Inn

The rooms were clean, but they need updating. We stayed Sunday through Wednesday and never saw a staff member at the lobby desk. The only person we saw was someone briefly looking out of a room they were cleaning. Breakfast was disappointing. On Monday there were yogurt cups, bananas, Cuties, and pastries that seemed a day old, but by Tuesday there was only one banana and no pastries. The coffee dispenser held cold coffee from the day before, and the Kurieg cup container had no variety of coffee. On Wednesday the lobby was locked, so no one could get in. Breakfast and customer service both need a lot of improvement.

I stayed at the Wilder Inn with two friends this fall, and we all came away impressed by the hospitality and service. The manager’s genuine manner made the stay special, and we felt comfortable and well looked after. I’m looking forward to recommending the hotel to friends and family.

I’m here now and there’s nobody at reception. The room smells like an old man, and I can’t get past that smell. The king bed is actually two twins pushed together, the bathroom towel rack is missing, and the stove is greasy. I really can’t stand it here.

We liked this lovely inn enough to add a third night to the two we’d booked. Trent, the owner, is personable and knows a lot about what to do and where to go. He used to be a chef and did everything he could to make our stay great. The furnishings are cozy, and most things in both of the rooms we stayed in were up to date. You can’t beat the location for walking around. Restaurants are just a few steps away, and the water view is gorgeous. We’re looking forward to visiting the area again and staying here.
