We had fun with the hot tub, game room, large dining table, and creek where we could fish, and the cabin and its setting are lovely. There are a couple of issues that need attention, though. The upstairs section with two bedrooms and the bathroom between them has extremely squeaky floors. The noise caused trouble sleeping, especially for our light-sleeping toddler, and that set off a chain reaction. The deck and stairs also need replacing. The wood is badly rotted in spots, and I nearly fell through in a few places. This was my second vacation in North GA, and compared with Northeast GA, I found there was less to do around here.

There’s plenty of room for a big family or a group of friends, with a roomy kitchen and refrigerator and lots of space to spend time together. The fire pit and little creek behind the cabin make it a peaceful spot. Getting there may be a challenge in a small car, though, so check your tires or bring an SUV or truck.
