Days Inn Erick

It’s an older place that hasn’t been updated since the 1970s, but I found it comfortable and quiet. The room was roomy, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was warm with good pressure. I’d recommend staying here if the dated look doesn’t bother you.

We left after just a couple of hours. The odor was so bad that even our clothes still smelled after we got back to the car. We bought soap and room deodorizer at the Dollar General, hoping to make it work, but there was no chance. I can’t understand the five-star reviews. Don’t book here. The room was awful: no soap in the bathroom or anywhere else, a dirty and torn carpet, and holes in the drapes. The bed hadn’t been made properly, the spread was just pulled up along with the bed skirt, and the lamp flickered. We also found a split extension cord, which seemed like an electrical shock hazard. We’d stayed at a very clean, older Days Inn in Lonoke, Ok the night before, so we expected this Days Inn in Erick, OK to be acceptable for a low-priced hotel. We checked in about two hours ago, but this was bad enough that we left, something we’ve never done before.

The room was spacious enough for us and our dog and cat, and the bed was really comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful too. We stayed here while moving from Ohio to New Mexico, and this was the best hotel of the trip. I’d book it again if I’m in the area.

Quiet and peaceful, with a comfortable room that gave us the rest we needed while traveling across the midwest. A wonderful family runs this hotel!
