The microwave in my room didn’t work, but otherwise it was clean and had plenty of towels and washcloths. I booked online and paid considerably less than the hotel rate. It’s handy for the thruway, though you can hear the traffic. If you’re sensitive to noise while sleeping, earplugs might be a good idea.

We only booked here because we were told the pool was heated, but the water was freezing. We waited two hours for it to warm up and wanted to leave, but they refused to refund the night, so we stayed. The windows were frozen and soaking wet, the room smelled disgusting, the dresser door kept falling off, and there were hair clips from the previous guest on the floor. Awful stay.

Breakfast had both hot and cold choices and was good. The staff were friendly and helpful, and our room was clean and stocked. Parking is nearby and there’s an elevator. The pool was closed for maintenance that weekend, and I didn’t see a hot tub. The exercise room was decent, and the big windows gave us nice views.

The hotel itself was fine, just a budget place. At 5 a.m. I dropped my phone behind the mattress and moved it to get the phone. Underneath, I saw what looked like bed bugs. I squished one and it left a blood mark on the box spring. Later that day a bump appeared on my cheek. I called the property manager, who said they’d inspect the room, but of course they said they found no bed bugs. What else would they say? Check under the mattress when you arrive, or you could wind up with a nasty bump or bite on your face like I did. Better yet, don’t stay here.
