The pink mold covered two corners of the shower in my room. It was identified as Serratia marcescens. There were ants coming in, and I found a bed bug crawling on my pillow. My fiancé showed it to a worker, who called the owner. The owner said, “I don’t believe you,” even though the worker was holding the bug. That same worker had told us they regularly spray for bed bugs. I asked for my money back because of all the problems, and the manager threatened me, saying “it would be in my best interest to get off this property.” I also didn’t want ants joining me while I slept or ate, or to shower with mold. I checked the reviews and thought the awful ones might be years old, but they’re true. Don’t stay here.

The TV was so tiny I could barely see it, and there was no coffee, breakfast, or Wi-Fi in the room. I could only get Wi-Fi by standing in the parking lot. Room #20 was filthy and smelled bad, which I first thought might be because it was a smoking room. It left a lot to be desired. I got under the covers because I was cold, then woke up lying in someone else’s body fluid. There were fresh blood stains on the bed, and the mattress was ripped all the way down its length. I told the owner as soon as I found out, but he refused to do anything. When I asked about the bed, he said they were in the process of getting new ones, but why charge almost $50 for a slum? No coffee pot in the room either. The owner wasn’t friendly or cooperative at all. I guess not fixing it is the answer. It was a terrible experience.

I stayed in room 16, but won’t stay again. The walls had holes and exposed sheetrock, and the room was small with only a double bed. There was no hot water. I called about it, but it never got fixed, and the people in 18 didn’t have hot water either. There was no breakfast or even coffee, and no coffee pot in the room. For the same price, I wish we’d stayed closer to town.

Next time I’d rather sleep in my car. The room was tiny, barely doable for two, had a strange smell, and came with a tube TV and no coffee machine. The “neighbors” were less than desirable. The only way it could’ve been worse is if there’d been bugs and a chalk line outside the door. The hotel looks like it was built in the 50s and maybe redecorated in the 80s, with probably nothing done since. It cost more than it was worth, though that may have been because it was a holiday weekend with the Watkins Glen race going on.

If zero stars were an option, that’s what I’d give. I found a bed bug crawling on my pillow. My fiancé showed it to a worker, who had to call the owner. The owner said, “I don’t believe you,” while the worker was holding the bug. The worker had told us they religiously spray for bed bugs. Two corners of the shower were covered in pink mold, specifically Serratia marcescens, and about five ants came marching in. I wanted my money back for all these inconveniences, and the manager threatened me, saying “it would be in my best interest to get off this property.” I checked some reviews and wondered if the bad ones were years old. They weren’t. Every horrible comment is true. Don’t stay here, especially if you don’t want company while sleeping and eating or to cuddle with bed bugs and shower with mold.
