The rooms were clean, with a mattress above average and the most comfortable hotel pillows I’ve used in ages. It was generally a pretty classic hotel experience, though the rooms had a bit of a cabin feel and there’s no staff on duty around the clock. Expedia’s self check-in process wasn’t great because it didn’t communicate the details well, but calling the Inn help line got us immediate, effective help.

How’s the serenity! After a decent ride over from Durango, Ponderosa Inn was a much-needed place to rest along the way. It’s cozy and conveniently located, and booking was easy, as was check-in. I arrived around 9:30 pm and used the self check-in. The room had a cabin feel, and everything about it was comfortable, good quality, and clean.

Expedia double booked one of our rooms at Ponderosa Inn without checking with Archie or notifying him. When we got there at 9pm, the room code Expedia had given us led to a room with other people in it. Archie was awesome and helped us by arranging a room at Happy Trails BnB in Tropic, one of his other properties. He had it ready in 30 minutes and was waiting for us when we arrived. We were about 30 minutes away when we called. He was patient, kind, polite, and went above and beyond. Thank you, Archie! Please stay at either Ponderosa Inn or Happy Trails BnB if you’re visiting Bryce Canyon, Zion, or the area.

A great place to spend the night. The rooms were clean and the beds nice and soft. The room names instead of numbers are really cute, too. We’d definitely come back if we’re in the area.

After waiting hours because I never got the code to enter my room, I learned others down the hall had the same problem. No one picked up the phone, and the company ignored my messages. I was anxious and upset while trying to get into a room I’d already paid for, and they couldn’t even offer an apology. This place runs a faceless check-in system for its own convenience and profit, with no care for guests. Rude and completely undeserving of your business.
