Bayview Motel

It’s tucked away on the side of a hill, and the driveway is easy to miss if you aren’t looking for it. The first-floor rooms have back doors opening onto a neatly kept lawn and a small porch. It’s pet friendly, and the layout makes it easy to take dogs outside. The place feels private and is much cleaner than other hotels around here, or even most hotels in general. We’re going to sleep well!

The owners were so friendly and clearly care about their guests. Our room was beautifully decorated, as if they’d opened up their own home for us, and it was clean with no smoke or other smells. I’d never seen an eye makeup remover pad beside the shampoo before, such a great little touch. Highly recommend.

It’s a lovely older motel, and the family who own and run it are very nice. The room was clean, and you really can’t beat the price. My only issue was the mattress. It was too firm and my back hurt a little by morning. Without that, I’d have given it four stars.

Traffic noise came through during the day and night, whether the windows were open or shut. Still, I enjoyed my stay. The motel is near fast food places and a diner, the room was spacious and very clean, and it was nicely decorated. There’s a refrigerator but no microwave. It has no air conditioning, though Eureka is usually cool, so it wasn’t needed. Good motel for a reasonable price.
