Adela made breakfast especially enjoyable. She was friendly and professional, kept the buffet clean and organized, and helped me figure out the options. She explained everything clearly and guided me to what I wanted to eat. The buffet was set up nicely, with plenty to choose from: eggs, oatmeal, waffles, fruit, bread, and more. I had a great experience at the Hampton Inn, and it was a pleasure meeting Adela.

The rooms weren’t very clean. There was a soap-scum ring in the tub, and the curtain looked like it hadn’t been cleaned. They advertise free breakfast, but it was temporarily out of service, and there wasn’t even coffee. At check-in they demanded a $100 deposit, even though the room had been paid in full. The clerk insisted I’d paid through Expedia, but I’d booked through the Red Lion phone number after getting disconnected from Expedia, and it cost more. They wouldn’t refund our money and said we could go somewhere else. I’d paid almost $600 and couldn’t afford to leave. The clerk called me a stupid woman. I’ll never stay there again.

I changed my rating to one star after speaking with the manager. She was rude and argumentative, blamed her staff for her own policy, and I feel bad for them. I wonder how many guests she has charged and how many staff members have taken the blame for her actions. I reported it and will never stay at this Hampton again. The listed checkout time is 12pm, but the manager has her own rule requiring checkout at 11:15 to 11:30, with a $25 charge for being “late.” Late checkout is normally a courtesy for Gold members when a room is available. It’s wrong to make guests leave before the time shown on the company website, app, and signed check-in contract. Don’t pay for late checkout just because of this policy. I filed a formal complaint with Hilton. Shady.

We stayed for three days between moving out of our old home and heading to the new one. The room was comfortable, and the beautiful breakfast area was a nice touch. Having a parking garage for just $10 extra a day made me happy.
