Quality Inn & Suites Exmore - Eastern Shore

The people were welcoming and the hospitality was pristine, but physically this is a worn, C-grade hotel. There’s no elevator, and the bathroom needs updating. Both the shower and sink faucets were rusty. The personality was inviting, while the building felt worn and rusty.

They double-charged me, then said the issue was with my bank. I checked, and the bank said it was on the hotel’s end because they still hadn’t canceled the extra charge. It’s been two weeks and I’m still waiting for them to correct their mistake. I’d advise people to check their statements for a duplicate charge too.

We found roaches in our bed on the first morning. When I asked for a refund, the manager said, “What did you expect from a cheap hotel?” After we left, I noticed two bug bites on my shoulder. I’m now talking with an attorney about a lawsuit over negligence. Awful hotel.

I hate leaving bad reviews, but this place is a dump. The lobby looks nice, and that’s where the good ends. We were sent to three rooms trying to find one that was clean. The first had old clothes and socks. In the second, the sofa bed mattress was stained. The third had linen on the sofa bed as if someone was still sleeping there. The clerk refused to refund us, so after a lot of arguing, she sent housekeeping to clean one of the rooms because there were no other options. The bed literally had food crumbs in it. Disgusting. They’re charging $100 or more a night for rooms like this. The health department needs to pay this place a visit, fast.
