Caravan Inn

Caravan was spotless, very accessible to Glenwood’s main attractions, and an amazing price for the area and time of year. Bring a bike, cross West across the street, and you can take the river trail everywhere. The room was basic and a little worn, but comfortable, with basic cable, a mini microwave, a safe, and new granite around the shower, sink, and bureau where the fridge and drawers were. The beds felt soft, maybe memory foam, but I never woke with a backache. The linens were white and clean, the pillows were very good, and the boot step with a heater under the closet bar was handy for drying swimsuits and snow gear. There was an extra shelf for coats and snow pants, and the furniture made good use of the space. Housekeeping was excellent, and the people were nice. The Covid breakfast had coffee, nice fruit, and some bars, which was perfectly fine. A couple of things could be better: we couldn’t unlock the hot tub gate and had to climb around it, and the water was bearable but too cool when it was cold outside. Another towel rack or two in the bathroom would help.

The free breakfast was probably my favorite part. It had hot and cold items and ran until 10 am, which is handy if you sleep in. The rooms are standard in size, just off the highway in Glenwood Springs, and were clean with daily housekeeping. Some areas of the floor were heated, a nice winter extra. Staff were nice, the beds comfortable, and the room was quiet. We enjoyed our stay.

The room was spacious and nice, and the front desk staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast hours were great since it was available until 10 am. The heat or thermostat didn’t seem to work, but they brought us a space heater that did the job. Good location, not far from the hot springs and other attractions.

The rooms were very clean, and the front desk staff were kind. The location worked well for a short stay in Glenwood. The outside could use a remodel, and the walkways needed a cleaning. I also wish the hot tub stayed open in winter.
