The location was good, and the room was neither the best nor the worst. I'd stayed elsewhere and camped on trips to Maine with family and friends from 1985 to 2006, and this was my first visit back. Live and learn: motel pictures aren't always accurate. The website photos were dated, which was a little misleading. At check-in I was told the room had been refurbished or redone. Some parts were great, but others looked unfinished. There was a hole in the wall in the separate bedroom where a smoke detector used to be. The kitchenette seemed adequate, but the refrigerator smelled really bad. The little table had only one chair, not very practical for four people. The AC in the separate bedroom was supposed to cool the whole space. That room was comfortable, while the rest was okay. I'd look for somewhere else next time.

We booked three different room types for two nights with friends this past weekend, and each one had what we expected. The rooms were surprisingly spacious and clean. This isn't a five-star hotel, so picky perfectionists may want to stay elsewhere, but this place is a hidden gem right in old Orchard! The staff were pleasant and really went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. A huge thank you to Sheena and Eric for all their hard work. The pool was very clean and just the right temperature. We also loved the beautiful fire out back and the complimentary grills. We'll absolutely stay here again!

We stayed one night on a trip to Portland from Boston, and this convenient stop was perfect since we didn't want to pay downtown Portland prices. It's only 30 minutes from downtown, saved us at least $150, and I'm glad we didn't stay in sketchy downtown Portland, though visiting was really fun. The check-in staff were super nice. The remodeled room was spotless, clearly cleaner than a hotel, with a comfy bed, plenty of space, a nice fridge, good coffee, and a shower that worked great. It felt like a great deal. I booked through booking and had no issues. I'd read older reviews and was wary, but it seems to be managed well now. Don't hesitate, book right away if you can.

The rooms are clean and well maintained. Staff here work hard consistently and are always willing to help however we ask. This may become my go-to when we visit again.

My family and I ended up fighting multiple times because the accommodations were so awful. It ruined the only trip we've taken in three years. I had to file an insurance claim because they misrepresented themselves in every possible way. They lie, and this place isn't safe.
