Comfort Inn & Suites Fairburn - Atlanta Southwest

We ended up leaving early after a very frustrating stay. The morning after we arrived, the water came back on, but the internet barely worked and the TV service kept cutting out. We later found two notes under the door: water would be off again overnight, with no discount or refund because it was a “city issue,” and housekeeping would be limited for Thanksgiving week. At 11am the next morning, the water was still off. We had water problems, bad internet, and unreliable TV all at once. We had booked from 11/24 to 11/29. After a 15 hour drive, we arrived after midnight and were told the City of Fairburn had shut off the water from 11pm to 7am. We’d called the hotel on the way and no one had mentioned it, so we couldn’t shower or flush the toilets when we got there. When I asked the front desk for compensation for the whole experience, they first offered $20 off. I asked for the manager and waited 30 minutes. She came out without apologizing for the wait and was condescending and dismissive. She kept saying nothing could be done, suggested the TV trouble was user error, and told me to contact an outside company about the internet. Only after I pushed did she agree to refund the remaining nights so we could move to another hotel, which we did. The room smelled musty, the furnishings were dated, and there were holes in the blankets and shower curtain. With all the service problems and the manager’s attitude, this was one of my worst hotel stays. I’ve also seen management leave generic, fluffy replies to negative reviews. Please don’t do that here. This was a genuinely bad stay, and management missed a chance to make it right.

The hotel is inviting, with comfortable beds and very clean rooms. Both front desk employees were lovely, one on the night of Nov 22 and the other the morning of Nov 23. We also had a nice quick chat with an employee we ran into in the elevator. This was our second stay, and it’s just a 7 minute drive from the Renaissance fair. We’ll be back in May 2026.

The rooms are nice, but there’s just one washer and dryer for guests on three floors, and the dryer is out of order. Do they really not expect anyone to stay long enough to need laundry?

Booked a quick overnight stop through hot wire, and it worked out great. The room was comfortable and clean, with a really nice bathroom and shower. Staff were super helpful and friendly, and there are lots of food options close by.
