The Brauhaus Inn

The hosts were so friendly, and we felt safe because they followed social distancing guidelines carefully. After dinner, we even had a beer on the lovely front patio. Breakfast was delicious too, with bread from a local bakery and local spreads and jam. The rooms and shared spaces have loads of character, and there’s a little park across the street. Shops and restaurants are an easy walk away, which made this a perfect place to stay while exploring Grand Rapids. We’ll be back!

Oliver and Kelly were helpful and great to have around. The breakfast was amazing, and the rooms were really comfortable. I loved the beautiful vintage decor throughout the house. I had a fantastic stay at the Brauhaus Inn and will definitely come back next time I’m in Grand Rapids.

The hosts were gracious, friendly, and laid-back, and the husband-and-wife team made a real effort with sanitation and cleanliness. They provided water and hand sanitizer at check-in, and staggered the home-style breakfast times to allow for distancing. The front and back porches were great places to sit with a beer in the evening or coffee in the morning. The bedroom had a modern West Elm feel, and the bed was the best we slept in during our weeklong trip through Wisconsin and Michigan. The food and accommodations were excellent. We were greeted in the driveway with a beer and a tour of the home. There’s a fun, quirky front room with a Pac-Man arcade game, an old-fashioned 60s hair-drying chair, and German-themed art. Highly recommend.

The room was very clean, with fresh soap and towels, and breakfast was awesome. There’s also a great deck in the backyard for relaxing. We appreciated all the communication about COVID precautions and the other details. The place is in a great location, near two Frank Lloyd Wright homes and plenty of other interesting houses. Arvon Brewing is walkable, and other areas are close by. What a lovely place, location, and family.
