The staff were really friendly, and the room was clean. A few things were off: the ice maker in our fridge didn't work, the bathroom door wouldn't close all the way, and we had to wiggle the room door to get it to lock because it was slightly out of alignment. None of it inconvenienced our trip, though, and we had a great stay.

I gave Staybridge Suites one star after an eight-day stay with several problems. First, the heating system wasn't working right, so we had to move rooms. In the new room, the microwave was broken and the heater left the floor wet. I also had to call downstairs to get an ironing board, and the kitchen light wasn't working when I needed to cook. If you're staying several days, check everything.

The weekend breakfast starts at 7:30, an hour later than on weekdays. I'm waiting now, and I'm one of nine people who came down only to be told to wait. Apparently, a lot of guests weren't told about the schedule. The hotel needs to rethink this and get management to fix it. Starting breakfast that late feels lazy and is a bad choice. The bathrooms are another problem. Several are locked until 8 am, even though breakfast has already started, and the bathrooms by the gym and pool supposedly never open because they don't work. With staff at the front desk all the time, why not leave them open like at other hotels? I wonder how many people end up peeing in the pool. That decision is stupid and makes no sense. The hotel seems nice otherwise, but the confusing breakfast hours and closed bathrooms need fixing.

The suite was clean, spacious enough for us, and easy to find in a good location. Breakfast was also good, with a range of food, juice, and coffee. But the service fell short. On two days, nobody cleaned the suite, and we had to ask at the front desk for fresh bath towels and toilet tissue. The front desk staff gave no explanation. When we left, we were charged $12 for self-parking. I should have read the booking fine print, but it still seems ridiculous to charge guests to park at the hotel. Parking should be a free courtesy. I was happy with the suite, just not the service. My family and I stayed at Staybridge Suites in Napa Valley from 6 - 11 August 2025.
