Inn on the Creek

The daily happy hour and cookies at night were such a nice extra, and I looked forward to the delicious breakfast every morning. Staff were friendly and engaging, and you could tell they enjoy their work. I found Inn On the Creek through a Google search after seeing all its great reviews, and it lived up to them. It’s close enough to walk everywhere, but set back by the creek where it’s peaceful and quiet. The other guests were friendly too. A fantastic place to stay.

We loved sitting by the creek for happy hour, and breakfast had a great atmosphere with tasty food. Sara went out of her way to make our visit special. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and even with the windows open at night, it stayed wonderfully quiet. Restaurants are even closer than Jackson Square, which is just a short walk away. The Inn is in a great spot, just outside the busy area. We’d highly recommend staying here.

Breakfast was better than at many B&Bs, and the staff were careful about dietary preferences. Since mornings aren’t usually when I feel like socializing with other guests, it was nice to be able to eat on the patio or take breakfast to our room. We had a comfortable, quiet upstairs room away from the creek, with a kitchenette that came in handy. It’s an easy walk to central Jackson, while still away from the bustle. Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else next time we’re in Jackson.

The room was described as having a creek view when I called, but we looked out at stairs and tall bushes instead. The inn feels really outdated and needs repairs. Our bathroom looked old and dirty, and there were missing patches in the carpet. Breakfast was good and the location was okay, but the room wasn’t worth the $550 we paid. We had much nicer places on the other nights of our weeklong trip for almost half the price. I wouldn’t recommend it.
