Baymont by Wyndham Jackson

The pillow-top mattresses are so comfortable, and the location is great. I’d stopped staying here for over three years because it felt very different back then. Now the people are so kind and professional. I’m loving it all over again.

The breakfast was decent, with cereal, bagels, frozen egg patties, sausage patties, waffles, yogurt, and more, though nothing stood out. I only stayed one night and didn’t use the indoor pool or fitness center. The room was clean, the shower had great hot water pressure, and the bed was comfortable. Check-in was quick, and the location offers convenient access to I40. Rates were reasonable and in line with other places nearby. This Baymont felt a notch above a typical Super 8 or Days Inn. Your mileage may vary.

Breakfast was a nice surprise, with bagels, toast, cereal, and hot options like egg and sausage patties. There’s also a fitness center above the heated indoor pool, and I appreciated the service. I was driving from southwest Arkansas back to Cookeville, TN, and stopped in Jackson to get out of the rain. I wanted somewhere clean and comfortable that wouldn’t cost much, and this hotel was well worth the money. I was shown a room before booking, so I felt reassured there were no bugs. The room was clean, a good size, and had a fine-sized TV, microwave, and fridge. It was under $100 and had everything I needed. The staff were nice, and the location was near the highway for continuing my trip in the morning, without bothersome traffic noise. I’d recommend it without hesitation for the price. I’ve been choosing Baymonts more often because I know what to expect, and this one was great.

The staff were rude throughout our stay. We’d booked during the ice storm to celebrate a birthday and take three teenagers swimming. We wanted to pay for a late checkout, but they said the rooms were full and wouldn’t allow it. There were six inches of ice and snow, the state had come to a halt, and they still wouldn’t let us pay to stay and swim. Half the lights didn’t work in our two rooms, and the outlets in my room were dead. This place should NOT be part of Wyndham. Nicer hotels are being built all around, and this should be a last resort.
